School Knott is a great little walk, offering beautiful views over Windermere Town and the lake. You can start this walk from Windermere or Bowness, but to keep it easy for little legs, we parked near Windermere Golf Club and did the 2.5 mile lollipop loop from there.
A new adventure playground has opened at Brockhole-on-Windermere (Feb-18). There’s plenty of things to see, do and enjoy here, including a nice cafe and lakeshore.
Today we caught the ferry from Bowness on Windermere across to Claife Heights. We took a go kart, scooter and a bike, plus three kids aged 3, 5 and 6.
Claife Heights Viewing Station (and cafe!) is such a fantastic, and family friendly place to explore. We caught the ferry across the lake, from Ferry Nab in Bowness on Windermere.
