    Brandlehow is an easy, low level walk, along the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District.  This mostly flat (but not pushchair friendly) circular walk is about 2.3 miles and can be started at any point on the route.

    Grange over Sands is a lovely little town, with an absolutely perfect promenade for a short or long family walk.  It has a cafe, playground, skate park and is traffic free and virtually flat, so ideal for all types of wheels, including pushchairs and wheelchairs.

    Brotherswater, in Patterdale is a beautiful and quiet place to visit.  You can do the short, 2.3 mile loop around the water, or if you have very young children, just the walk from the car park to the little beach for a picnic and paddle!
