Hodge Close quarry and caves is certainly an adventure, for young and old alike It offers some amazing views of its massive water filled cavern, from both the top and bottom.

Mirehouse, Bassenthwaite
Mirehouse and Gardens, near Bassenthwaite are a fantastic place in the Lake District for a family walk and adventure! We did a 1.5 mile loop walk that also takes in the 4 adventure play areas in Mirehouse Gardens.

Bowscale Tarn, near Mungrisdale
Bowscale Tarn near Mungrisdale is an easy 3.5 mile out and back walk up to a beautiful and peaceful mountain tarn. The ascent is gradual and the path very easy to navigate.

Small Water near Haweswater
This walk is to the very quiet and peaceful Small Water, and can be found at the end of Haweswater. The drive along Haweswater is stunningly beautiful, and we stopped several times to take photos.
